Alicia Mayer Contributes to IPTA’s New IP Course

KOMO IP’s senior trade mark attorney Alicia Mayer is proud to have contributed to and co-present, along with IPTA Fellows Tony Lolis (Davies Collison Cave) and Bob Kelson (BKPTC), the Institute of Patent and Trade Mark Attorneys' (IPTA) new IP Administrator’s Course, an initiative led by Dr. Mike Zammit (Spruson & Ferguson), leader of the Institute’s Education Committee.

IP administrators aid the smooth running of intellectual property firms by assisting attorneys across the board, including conducting IP searches, filing IP rights, and generally managing client work. This work can be fraught with multiple domestic and international deadlines and comes with its share of pressure and risk.

As such, it’s vital that IP administrators receive comprehensive training, but up until now the role has been solely learnt on the job, with no standardised educational foundation.

Thankfully, IPTA’s long-awaited IP Administrators Course rolls out for the first time in October 2022!

As the first of its kind, created and presented by IP experts, and under the auspices of our industry’s Institute, you can expect that places will be snapped up quickly.

For more information about this important initiative and learning opportunity within the IP profession, please visit IPTA’s website.
